2018 TATTOO WEEK SP, the biggest tattoo convention on the planet, already in its 8th year, it will be held on October 19 – 21, 2018 in São Paulo, Brazil at São Paulo Expo! And some of Tattoo Week missions are popularizing tattoo art in the country, promoting international exchange among professionals, integrating the art enthusiast by introducing the latest trends - from styles to product launches.

In addition, the infrastructure of São Paulo Expo ensures that all exhibitors can disseminate their work on a large scale during the three days of activities. Furthermore, there will be more than 4,000 parking spaces for visitors, food court and activities for kids, ratifying the family environment in Tattoo Week.

This year, the organizers Enio Conte and Esther Gawendo expect to reach more than 70,000 people. Attractions like Miss and Mr. Tattoo contest, shows of popular national singers and bands, workshops of renowned tattoo and body piercing artists and tattoo competition draw the public's attention.

There are 5,000 people working on the event and, among them, more than 3,000 are tattoo artists, body piercers, body painters and artists in general.

In order to show the world that Brazil was becoming a reference in tattooing, the tattoo artist Enio Conte - a professional with more than 30 years of experience - and his wife, Esther Gawendo, designed and conducted Tattoo Week in São Paulo. The objective was to offer the exhibitors the structure to disseminate their art and provide the visitors with direct contact with the culture of tattooing and cultural exchange.

The event, held in a larger place at Expo Center Norte, offered almost twice as many stands and twice as many visitors as the first edition. Due to national and international repercussion of the event, the organizers took Tattoo Week to Rio de Janeiro, invited by Sylvio Freitas and Ganso Galvão - friends and professional colleagues of organizers.

Due to the market movement in Brazil during 2014 World Cup, the organizers decided once again to conduct Tattoo Week Rio, but now in downtown Rio - which is nowadays a reference in halls for conventions in Latin America. The event had wide media and big television broadcaster’s coverage.

Tattoo Week São Paulo surprised by the number of visitors and the wide coverage of Brazilian and foreign media. Celebrities like Tico Santa Cruz, Felipe Titto, Penelope Nova, Dani Bolina, Vanessa Mesquita and Sabrina Boing Boing were present in this edition. The event was a record of presence of professionals, among them thirty foreigners. Ami James, one of the most famous tattoo artists in the world, was present at the three-day convention.

At the beginning of 2015, the convention landed once again in the Wonderful City at Espaço SulAmérica. The “Carioca” version of Tattoo Week brought together more than 800 artists and had workshops, contests and shows of popular national singers and bands (Pitty, Matanza, Devil Green and MC Marechal) and had the Battle of Knowledge.

In July 2015, in São Paulo, Tattoo Week occupied the entire Blue Hall of Center Norte with 2,300 exhibitors and collected 22 tons of food that was donated to Casa de Davi - a non-profit institution and reference in sheltering and caring of people with intellectual and physical disabilities. These astronomical figures added to the record number of stands and visitors made the convention consolidate itself as the biggest tattoo event in Latin America, competing to be the largest in the world.

The Wonderful City once again hosted Tattoo Week with open arms, at Espaço Sul América. This 2016 edition had a movie theater, where we had movies about tattoos, and gathered more than 900 artists, as well as workshops, shows, skateboarding, tattoo contest and Miss Tattoo Week.
